Non-CDL Delivery Driver

Hire Up Staffing is seeking a dependable and professional Non-CDL Delivery Driver to safely transport and deliver electrical equipment to customers and designated locations. This position is primarily focused on driving a 26-ft flatbed truck, while also assisting with loading and unloading deliveries. The ideal candidate will have strong driving skills, a clean driving record, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to safely handle equipment and materials weighing up to 60 lbs.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $23/hour
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Start Time: 5:00 AM - Until deliveries are completed
• Interview: Required
• Driving: Approximately 80% of the workday
• Vehicle: 26-ft automatic flatbed with liftgate
• Passengers: None

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 26-ft automatic flatbed delivery truck.
• Transport electrical equipment from the warehouse to assigned customer locations.
• Load and unload electrical equipment and materials.
• Safely handle materials weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Use a dolly, hand truck, pallet jack, or other equipment as needed.
• Pick up loads and organize goods in a safe and logical manner according to the assigned route.
• Verify deliveries and obtain customer signatures or warehouse scans when required.
• Follow predetermined delivery routes and ensure timely deliveries.
• Assist with mapping and planning efficient delivery routes.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery schedules, delays, or other issues.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service at each delivery.
• Perform vehicle inspections before and after each trip.
• Report maintenance issues or vehicle deficiencies to management.
• Keep the assigned vehicle clean and organized.
• Check weather and road conditions before departing.
• Maintain accurate driving and delivery logs.
• Track and report working hours.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Comply with applicable DOT regulations and traffic laws.
• Operate the vehicle safely based on weather and road conditions.
• Make safety a priority at all times.

Requirements

• Valid Non-CDL driver's license required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant driving experience; 3–5 years preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to insurance requirements.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Must be able to safely operate and maneuver a large delivery vehicle.
• Experience driving larger vehicles is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Must be alert, focused, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and stay on schedule.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically able to load and unload materials weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to follow delivery routes and maintain accurate records.
• Must be dependable and safety-conscious.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Frequent loading and unloading of electrical equipment.
• Ability to safely operate delivery equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• No regular stair climbing is required.
• Must be physically and mentally capable of safely performing driving and delivery duties.
